M returned to Montana on Sunday. We were all sad to see her go. Our dog even growled her displeasure at M’s departure!
During these uncertain times, being with a friend is grounding. We have known each other well for decades and can laugh at our old stories. And there is always something new to discuss!
We walked each day. I would call it hiking, but M would call it walking. We visited some of her favorite places in Tacoma and we explored some new territory.
One of our highlights was spending a morning on the beach at Brown’s Point. My husband was trying his hand at shore fishing. We sat on the beach, drinking coffee and had the place to ourselves. Another highlight was a hike/walk on our favorite trail in Point Defiance Park. We both love the view of Dalco pass from the tip on the park.
We both enjoy our wine hour(s), much of them spent on my front porch. Pinot Gris from Oregon and sparkling Cava were our top choices.
On the food front, we tried out some Korean food. That was the first for my husband and me and we will be going back for more.
And I can’t forget season 6 of Schitt’s Creek! We binged watched it and are both sad to see that amazing show come to an end. We would both give it 100% on Rotten Tomatoes!
Like Schitt’s Creek, her visit had to come to an end. I would definitely give our time together 100% and am left wanting just one more episode.
Have a good week. See you on Wednesday.
